Science, storytelling, and a side of wonder.

Hi, I’m Dr. Harini Bhat. Most people know me online as @tilscience. I turn the kind of science you might scroll past into stories you cannot stop talking about.

From Curiosity to Community

With more than 2 million followers across platforms, I have been lucky enough to turn curiosity into a community. My digital series Today I Learned Science makes complex ideas simple, memorable, and fun. Along the way, the work has earned recognition including dual Telly Awards, an Anthem Award, and a Webby Honoree distinction. I have been named a leading STEM voice on TikTok and was selected as a 2023 Emerging Producer by the World Congress of Science and Factual Producers.

Science Everywhere You Are

Beyond TikTok, I host PBS’s NAACP-nominated Origins: In the Margins and CBS’s Mission Unstoppable (Season 6). Whether it is television, Substack, or YouTube, my work bridges traditional educational content with modern digital storytelling. The goal is always the same: inspire the next generation of scientists and critical thinkers.

The Pharmacist Who Picked Up a Camera

Science communication is actually my second career. I am a trained clinical pharmacist (PharmD, UCSF) with a fellowship in hematology and oncology. During COVID I started making short science videos as a creative outlet and a way to connect with people.

What began as a small experiment grew quickly. First thousands and then millions of curious minds began tuning in for a science-forward future.

Science Deserves Better Stories

I believe science deserves the same storytelling power as your favorite shows. It's not just facts, it's drama, discovery, and ideas that reshape the way we see the world.

That is why every video, post, or newsletter issue is designed to feel like a gift. It should be entertaining, surprising, and scientifically solid.

"Science is not niche. It is the engine of everything we care about."
